LG’s flagship smartphone for the year, the G6 was launched over the past weekend in Korea and had sold more than 20,000 units in the opening days. The Korean giant which has already stolen a march on its biggest rival Samsung now wants to further capitalise on this early bird advantage. Although the tentative release date in the US was slated to be on April 7 which was confirmed by the ever reliable @evleaks.

All this leaves us with a rather glaring omission of news related to when the G6 is to arrive in the EU market and how much will it cost. Well, thanks to MediaMarkt a major German based electronics retailer you can put one of those burning questions to rest. The site has listed the smartphone with a price tag of €749 (~₹ 52,500) for the 32 GB variant sans concrete delivery dates. The most common accepted window of release is sometime later in April, depending on how much of a delay this is, it can mean that Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ will also have arrived in the market. This is because multiple leaked sources have stated that the Galaxy smartphones are to be available no later than 21 April.
