LG V30 render back

LG’s motto this year has been to move faster than its number one rival, Samsung. This was evident by the launch of its G6 flagship a month or more in advance of the latest Galaxy S8 range and now it seems the company is gunning for it again. Noted tipster @evleaks recently leaked what looked like a teaser invitation for the LG V30 (below).

As one can see, LG plans to officially unveil the V30 on 31 August in Berlin at an event just prior to the start of IFA 2017. It had been leaked in the past that LG planned to introduce its second flagship of the year earlier than Samsung’s Galaxy Note8 but this is official confirmation of the same.

The V30 will most likely eschew various standards of the past V-series smartphones, such as the secondary display and removable battery. LG is most likely going to have a 6.0-inch OLED FullVision display which negates the necessity of a secondary display and the V30 might finally support wireless charging which explains the latter’s removal. The upcoming flagship is likely to be sporting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset and should feature a dual-camera setup at the back, hardware interfacing would be provided by a USB Type-C connector and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The usual suspects like a fingerprint scanner, dedicated audio DAC should still find a way. Stay tuned for more up to date news regarding the latest in the world of Android by following us on our social media.
