LG announced their latest budget smartphone, the LG X500. LG X500 is said to be the Korean variant of X Power 2 smartphone which was recently unveiled this year. The handset will be available in South Korea starting this Friday, June 9. The LG X500 is priced at KRW 319,000, or $285 in the US (Rs. 18, 343.97).

LG X500 will have a 5.5-inch 720p HD display and will be powered by octa-core Mediatek MT6750 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM. The device will include 32GB of ROM that is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. The smartphone runs Android Nougat 7.0, which we expect to be upgradeable to latest Android Nougat 7.1 Operating System. In the optics department, the LG X500 will have an 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and 5MP selfie shooter with soft LED flash which is getting common at this price range.’

Although the aforementioned specs are too good for a budget device, its real main selling point is its 4500mAh of battery and fast charging technology. The fast charging capability enables to fully charged the device in just two hours and the 4500mAh of battery inside the device can suffice up to 20 hours of continuous video playback, 18 hours of internet browsing and 14 hours of GPS navigation.

The device will be available in Black Titan, Shiny Titan, Shiny Gold, and Shiny Blue colours.  For connectivity, the LG X500 has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0, USB OTG. It weighs 164 grams, and measures 154.7×78.1×8.4mm.
