Rumours from last month claimed that LG is working on a budget version of the LG G6 and it was expected to be named the G6 mini. But turns out it will be dubbed the LG Q6.
Reliable leaker Evan Glass(@evleaks) has tweeted out that the mini version of the G6 will be called the Q6.
This will be known as the LG Q6 (recently hit FCC under model number M700) — also 18.5:9, but with a single 13MP camera & 3GB RAM. https://t.co/JdSJi8e4wL

As per all the previous leaks, the Q6 will come with a smaller 5.4-inch LCD display. The good news is that it will maintain the same 18:9 aspect ratio, which means an amazing screen-to-body ratio of just below 80%. The device will supposedly carry a model number of M700 as confirmed by the FCC.
However since it is a budget offering, LG is cutting the corners on specs. The Q6 will arrive only 3GB of RAM as opposed to 4GB on the LG G6. Also, the SoC powering the device will be a midrange chipset instead of the Snapdragon 821 used on the LG G6.
The other cost cutting area will be the camera. The LG Q6 will reportedly come with only one 13MP camera on the rear instead of the dual camera’s found on the LG G6. However, none of this is confirmed and we advice you to take it with a pinch of salt.
