As far as leaks go, this is a pretty comprehensive one. This new leak is regarding the Galaxy S9 duo coming next year. Also, all major smartphone launches this year are almost over, so we do need something to play with. Hence, the appearance of the leak is at an appropriate time.

The Galaxy S9 has started showing up on the rumour radar recently with news of an earlier release. The new leak emerges from China by TechDroid gives us a look at the Galaxy S9 as well as schematics of the upcoming handset. And we have some good news and some really bad news.

Talking about the design, the Galaxy S9/S9+ will probably up the ante of bezel-less screens by doing away with the bottom chin altogether. It is also the next logical step in the crusade against the bezels. The render of the handset also shows off a dual camera at the front leading us to believe Samsung will go all out in the camera department next year. Apart from that, we don’t have a view of the back. But recent speculation has hinted the phone to come with a drastic new designed back.

The specs details are even more intriguing. For one, the Galaxy S9/S9+ will come with a 3D sensing face recognition. That’s not a surprise as Samsung will try to compete with FaceID which is itself controversial. Another juicy detail is the on-screen fingerprint reader. The leak points out that this is still under testing and it may not see the light of the day. One more highlight of the leak is a dual camera lens at the back. That makes a total of 4 cameras on the Galaxy S9.

Now for the worst part! The Galaxy S9 will probably phase out the 3.5mm headphone jack, the leak suggests. Enter a big cry emoji here.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S9 duo in February next year ahead of schedule.
