The original iPhone was a revolution and it marked the start of the “smartphone” era. Ever since, Apple have always been known as a company which brings new innovation. Now, there is a new report that suggests that the iPhone 8 may carry a few design features similar to the original iPhone, that was debuted 10 years back.
Korea’s ET News reports that the iPhone 8 will feature a ‘water-drop design’ with curves similar to the original iPhone. Previous rumours have claimed that the iPhone 8 will feature an all glass design similar to the iPhone 4 and the 4s. The front glass was also reported to be curved like the one found on the Samsung Galaxy S7. If this rumour is to be believed, the iPhone 8 will feature curved glass on both sides!

“Apple’s next iPhone is expected to be closer to ‘water drop design’. It embodies the back side design with curved emphasis, resembling the initial iPhone. Further, the report also suggests that Apple will use a 3D glass with “soft curves” and a metal frame around the border of the iPhone 8. ET News claims that the back glass will be more dramatically curved than the front glass. However, trusted KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects a 2.5D glass up front.
The iPhone 8(which may be called the iPhone Edition) is expected to cost a $1000. It is rumoured to include a large curved OLED display in the form factor of the iPhone 7. The 10th Anniversary iPhone is set to house a revolutionary 3D front camera and include a feature area similar to the touch bar found on the new MacBook Pro. Other rumours have claimed that Wireless Charging may make it’s way into the iPhone 8.
