HTC introduced Edge Sense along with its latest flagship the U11 just last month and although not perfect by any means it is already garnering a following. Wanting to capitalise on this, the company is actually planning to release a mid-range handset with the tech on board; Codenamed the Ocean Life.
The Ocean Life will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 chipset. It will have a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080 x1920) display panel which would be similar to the one found on the HTC U Play. Which most likely means that the smartphone is packing a Super-LCD panel based display but that is just speculation at this time and HTC could pack in an OLED display. Powering the smartphone would be a rather modest 2600mAh battery unit but knowing how well HTC had optimised the U11 it might surprise us again. Due to the handset featuring Edge Sense it is very likely that the Ocean Life will be running on Sense UI 9.0 which is based on Android v.7.1.1, Nougat.

HTC is also bundling their USonic earphones and the phone is allegedly sporting Bluetooth v.5.0 so you can expect it not to have a headphone jack. Apart from this the front and rear cameras on the Ocean Life are both expected to be 16-megapixel sensors. This information was leaked by noted tipster @LlabTooFeR who has revealed legitimate information about earlier HTC launches and devices.
