HTC’s new U Ultra and U Play smartphones were unveiled at CES last month. The company has now announces the pricing for the two smartphones in the UK market. The Taiwanese company also reported that the two smartphones will start shipping from March 1.
The HTC U Ultra has been priced starting GBP 649(roughly Rs. 54,000) while the HTC U Play has been priced starting GBP 399 (roughly Rs. 33,000). Both the phones are available via the company’s official online store as well as third-party retailers.
HTC have significantly improved the HTC Sense UI on these smartphones. They have the new Sense Companion, which is an AI-based system that learns the user’s daily patterns to provide usage recommendations. The U Ultra and the U Play also pack HTC Sonic earphones, which analyses the shape of the user’s inner ears with a sonar-like pulse. They also have a liquid surface curved glass construction and the HTC U Ultra includes a Dual Display, which is a basically a secondary display.
HTC U Ultra Specifications:
HTC U Ultra features a 5.7-inch Super LCD display with a Quad-HD resolution(1440X2560 PPI) and a secondary 2-inch display with a resolution of 1040X160 PPI, much like the LG V20. It is powered by the Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC clocked at 2.15GHz coupled with 4GB of Ram. It packs a 12-UltraPixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front camera. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 included.
It is available in two variants – one with an inbuilt storage of 64GB and the other with an internal storage of 128GB. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with HTC’s Sense UI on top.
HTC U Play Specifications:
HTC U Play features a 5.2 inch full-HD display. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 Soc. It is available in two configurations, 3GB RAM/32GB Storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage variants. It sports a 16-megapixel sensor on the front and the rear and is backed by a 2500mAh battery. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with HTC’s Sense UI on top.
