The Honor 9, a flagship on budget launched in June in China, is arriving in India on October 5th. Surprisingly, Huawei had debuted the device in Europe soon after the Chinese launch but other Asian countries like India were left out. Now, Honor India had been teasing the phone with #ExploreWithHonor on Twitter but the dates were unknown. The confirmation also comes from Honor India’s Youtube account. So, this is the official statement.

The Honor 9 is a solid premium phone with a top-notch design and high-end specs. It is a made up of a metal body sandwiched with glass and a rear that curves at the edges. Its shiny back bears resemblance to the Xiaomi Mi 6. In terms of hardware, the Honor 9 boasts of a strong Kirin 960 chip and comes in two variants. One is the 4 GB + 64 GB variant while the other is the 6 GB + 128 GB variant. The software is Android 7.0 Nougat heavily skinned with EMUI.

The Honor 9 has a 5.15-inch Full HD display with 1,920 x 1,080 resolution and a dual camera arrangement at the back. The 12 MP + 20 MP duo combine to give flagship grade photography to the Honor 9. It has an 8 MP selfie sensor and a sufficient 3,200 mAh battery.

The speculated price tag of the Honor 9 in India will be Rs 35,000. Now, this is Rs 6,000 more than the Honor 8 Pro but it is in the territory of flagship killers like OnePlus 5 and Nokia 8. The Honor 9 comes in many colour choices Glacier Grey, Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black, Gold, Blue Bird, and Robin Egg Blue. But it isn’t known which colours will be available in India.
