Google has its own little party scheduled for October 4 and the Pixel 2 family will get much bigger that day. A new report today, by Droid Life confirms the existence of a new generation of Chromebooks. Except they aren’t called Chromebooks. Instead, they will be called PixelBooks officially. Apparently, Google has also lined up a Google Home Mini for launch on October 4.

The PixelBook will be a premium laptop running Chrome OS at a significant premium price. It is expected to have three variants. The lowers of them will have 128 GB of storage. Other two will have 256 GB and 512 GB respectively. Moreover, today’s report says the PixelBook will come at an eye-popping price of $1,199. And this is just for the base model. The other two variants will make your pocket lighter by $1,399 and $1,749 respectively. This is to be expected. Since Google priced the earlier Chromebooks similarly, however, it is almost double the price compared to the products of Samsung and Acer etc.

The upcoming PixelBook will also have some neat tricks up its sleeves. Report states it will be foldable and turn into a tablet. Also, this year, Google intends to introduce a stylus worth $99 just for using with the PixelBook. Needless to say, it will have to be bought seperately.
