The Google Pixel 2 and the Google Pixel XL 2 are expected to be launched in early October. While we heard that the smartphones will not come with the Snapdragon 836 yesterday, there is some good news today.
Yesterday, Google uploaded it’s Data Transfer Tool on the Play Store. However, you can install it only on the Pixel devices as of now but it is expected to be available to all handsets soon. One of the splash screens indicate the design of the Google Pixel 2 and confirms the presence of a front firing speaker.
Google’s Data Transfer Tool helps you seamlessly transition from an old smartphone to a new one. Not only Android devices but also iPhones are supported by the app. Currently, you can transfer Photos, videos, music, apps and Phone settings, Google Accounts and SIM card contacts.
The Google Pixel 2 is expected to retain the same 4.7 inch display from it’s predecessor while the pixel XL 2 will feature a huge 6-inch display. If the latest rumours are to be believed, they will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC and 4GB of RAM. As confirmed in the article, they will feature a front facing speaker setup and sadly, the 3.5mm headphone jack will be omitted.
