We saw the first glimpse of the Gionee A1 and the A1 Plus at Mobile World Congress in February. While the Gionee A1 launched in India back in March, the A1 Plus didn’t make it’s way into the country. Starting tomorrow, the A1 Plus will be available at retail stores at a price of Rs.26,999.
As for specs, the Gionee A1 Plus is powered by the MediaTek Helio P25, an octa-core SoC clocked in at 2.5GHz. This is coupled with the ARM Mali-T880 GPU running at a speed of 900MHz. All this is backed up by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of base storage which can be expanded upto 256GB via microSD.
The A1 Plus sports a huge 6-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD resolution. There is Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. What’s impressive is that the phone is fuelled by a humongous 4,500 mAh battery with 18W ultrafast charging that charges the device in 2 hours.
The Gionee A1 Plus comes with some impressive camera specifications. The smartphone features a dual-camera setup on the rear consisting of a 13MP and a 5MP sensor followed by an LED flash unit. Up front, we have a 20MP selfie shooter with a front facing flash.
