Galaxy S8 mini

The has been a lot of buzz since the past week about a mini-variant of the Galaxy S8. It was claimed that this device was aimed at people who found the S8 to be very big. We even reported yesterday that it could come with a 5.3-inch display. But in the end, looks like the S8 mini is not happening.

The leaker with the username @mmddj_china on Twitter claims that the Galaxy S8 mini is not under works, according to a Samsung engineer.

However, the authenticity of the leak cannot be verified. As per the history of Samsung mini devices, there hasn’t been any mini device released after the Galaxy S5 mini. That said, it makes total sense to revive the mini line especially with the mammoth display sizes of the Galaxy S8 and the S8 plus. Companies have done that in the past and it’s worked out pretty well.

If Samsung chooses to release the S8 mini, it indeed will mean that Sammy is having a pretty busy schedule with devices like the Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition also round the corner.

With all the reports conflicting themselves, we are not really sure about what Samsung is planning to do with the S8 mini. So we recommend you to take it with a grain of salt.
