Wireless Power Consortium, the group behind Qi Wireless Charging Standard, reveals the photo that is somehow believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. Samsung is known to release a rugged version of their flagship devices to meet the demand of sturdy flagship devices that can withstand any aggressive circumstances.
Like its predecessors, S8 Active will be certified to meet the military specification for drops and falls and will also have an IP68 rating which means, it can stay underwater of around 5 feet for as long as 30 minutes while making it sure to perform just exactly as powerful as the Galaxy S8. To make the phone as rugged as possible, Samsung removed the edge-to-edge display and replaced it by flat yet curved edges display.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active retains all the specs from the original variant, except for the battery which is expected to have larger milliamps. The device will bear the model number SM-G892A. As to when this device will be available, Samsung is yet to announce that.
