Information regarding yet to launch smartphones leaks on almost a daily basis and one of the best places to be in the know is twitter. What with notable tipsters such as @rquandt and @evleaks having the juiciest of scoops every now and then. Today is the turn of the much anticipated Samsung phablet flagship, the Galaxy Note8. The latest leak is by Evan Blass who has given us images of the handset in a Midnight Black finish.

While Samsung has made sure that Note 8 would carry forward the design legacy of its beautiful Galaxy siblings (S8 and S8+), we might have some changes in the shape of the handset. Even though the Galaxy Note 8 isn’t expected to launch before 23 August, noted leaker Evan Blass aka EVLeaks has just posted a full render of the device in its Midnight Black color. In addition to the black colour, the next-generation Note device is expected to come in orchid grey and deep blue.

It was already known that the Samsung Galaxy Note8 would be coming in three colour choices, Orchid Grey, Deep Blue and Black. It seems that the latter-most would be marketed as Midnight Black, the only catch being that this latest leak only shows us the handset in the front profile. Although since this leak comes from a source which has released accurate information in the past, it is likely that this is the real deal.

From the image, one thing is clear, the Note8 will be arriving with a rather tall display. In all honesty, the Super-AMOLED panel will feature the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio as the Galaxy S8 range. Rumours have zeroed down on a 6.3-inch panel featuring a resolution of 2160 x4428 pixels. Just like the S8, the Note8 will also feature a display that is curved on the sides with minimal bezels on the forehead and the chin.

In terms of processor Note 8 might feature either Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895, and 6GB RAM coupled with 64GB or 128GB storage. The camera setup is expected to feature dual 12 megapixel wide-angle and telephoto lens. Analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities believes the smartphone will support 3x optical zoom with optical image stabilisation.
