Another China-based smartphone maker, Gionee has announced an entry-level smartphone in India. The smartphone named Gionee X1 has been priced Rs. 8,999 and is already on the shelves in retail stores. The phone comes in black and gold shades. Gionee also announced a couple of offers along with the phone.
Speaking about the specs of the phone, the Gionee X1 is a 5-inch smartphone with HD IPS display panel. The handset houses a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC paired with 2 GB of RAM. In terms of optics, the device has an 8 MP rear lens and an 8 MP front lens. The metal body phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat skinned with Amigo 4.0 UI from the start. The battery is pegged to be of 3,000 mAh capacity.
The Gionee X1 comes with 16 GB inbuilt storage expandable up to 256 GB with dual SIM slots and a dedicated SD card slot. The phone also has regular connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB port. Also, there are a bunch of basic sensors on the device like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor as is evident from the image.
Promotional offers that come with the phone include 10 GB additional data per month for Airtel subscribers for 6 recharges. Further, Two Paytm cash back vouchers that will allow owners to get Rs. 250 cash back on a purchase of Rs. 350 at least on Paytm Mall.
