Galaxy Note 8

Yet another Galaxy Note 8 render has emerged and unfortunately it is very similar to the previous one. The Galaxy S8 sported a high, tough to reach fingerprint scanner, and looks like it is here to stay. On the rear, we can find a horizontal rear camera setup and the LED flash unit with the fingerprint scanner placed adjacent to it.

This clearly means that Samsung has not yet figured out the screen-embedded fingerprint sensor technology. Vivo along with Qualcomm showcased the solution on the Vivo Xplay 6 earlier this week. If Samsung doesn’t want to risk the technology, thats totally fine. But why is Samsung refusing to re-locate the scanner to a more reachable area?

This apart, the Galaxy Note 8 looks stunning. Continuing the trend of bezel-less fronts, the images showcase an even better screen-to-body ratio when compared to the Galaxy S8.

As for specs, the Galaxy Note 8 is said to pack a 6.3-inch Infinity Display, which is a Super-AMOLED panel with Quad-HD resolution. As per previous trends, the Galaxy Note 8 should feature the Snapdragon 835/ Exynos 8895 SoC. Rumours are pointing that the Note 8 might come in two configurations, one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and the other with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

As for optics, a 12MP + 12MP sensor setup is expected along with the support for Optical Image Stabilisation(which is essential for stable video). The device will pack a 3,300 mAh battery and is rumoured to cost a crazy $1000.
