Huawei is adding yet another member to its 2016 lineup of P9 devices. The new device called the Huawei P9 Lite Mini appeared in Hungary making it 4 devices in total to the lineup. The other three models being the regular Huawei P9, the P9 Plus, and the P9 Lite. The Huawei P9 Lite Mini is presumably the smaller version of the P9 Lite. It is also lower specced than the rest of the lineup. In other words, it’s just another mid ranger with the “P” label attached to its name.

The Huawei P9 Lite Mini is a metal body phone that runs Android 7.0 Nougat and is 8.05 mm thick. Also, Android Nougat is also mixed with EMUI 5.1. The budget phone from Huawei has dual SIM support and a micro USB port as well as speakers grills. It does sport a fingerprint scanner.

Here is the list of components the phone will give buyers. The phone does take some design cues from its parent line up but has a smaller screen of 5.0 inches with HD resolution. A step down from the Huawei P9 Lite. Also, the handset features a MediaTek MT6737T chipset. In terms of optics, the phone has a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera with LED flash. The handset also has a 3,020 mAh battery which seems more than enough on paper for the smartphone’s power needs.

Huawei will start selling the device by the end of this month, which is after two days. The phone is set to be sold in silver, black, and gold color options. Being a budget friendly phone, the Huawei P8 Lite Mini will cost 190 EUR. This is for the dual SIM version. There is a single SIM variant coming soon. The phone will initially sell in Hungary and global availability is not known yet.
