We had just reported that ZTE Nubia Z17 renders recently surfaced showing the device in great detail, now a new Nubia smartphone has shown up on TENAA’s site. The device on the Chinese certification board carries the model number Nubia NX563J which would be familiar to anyone following the Nubia Z17 for some time since it matches with the model number on an earlier leak.

The appearance of the smartphone on the certification authorities site means we finally get to see what the next generation Nubia flagship looks like. It confirms the bezel-less side display design as was teased in the recently leaked renders although still having a rather large chin and forehead bezel. Below the display, we see the characteristic capacitive red circle which indicates the home button location. Coming around to the back the Nubia NX563J comes with a dual-camera setup with a dual-LED module arranged in the horizontal plane instead of the vertical plane as was the case in the renders. Placed slightly higher in the centre of the frame we can see the fingerprint scanner.

The specifications for the Nubia NX563J is impressive with it being one of the few smartphones carrying Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon octa-core SoC clocked @1.9GHz coupled with an Adreno 540 GPU which drives the 5.5-inch full-HD display. The device packs in 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage but a pricier Z17 model is alleged to come with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The TENAA listing also tells us that the device is powered by a 3100mAh battery. We are already aware of the device running on Android v.7.1.1, Nougat under the company’s proprietary Nubia UI. It is also stated that the device will come in Gold and Silver coloured variants.

With this accelerated¬†pace of leaks and finally showing up on TENAA’s site, we can rest assured that ZTE is gearing up to announce the smartphone soon.
