Asus launched the Zenfone 3s Max earlier today with a massive 5000mAh battery but it seems Asus is working on its next generation of Zenfone already. The Asus Zenfone 4 is expected to be unveiled sometime in May 2017 and one of its variants was spotted on GFXBench revealing its specs and key details.
The Asus Zenfone 4 will come with a 5.7 Quad HD display with a screen resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. It is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset, along with the Adreno 530 GPU. It is also worthy to note that the smartphone will come with 6GB of Ram and 64GB of internal storage. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset is an interesting choice as there is a choice of the better Snapdragon 821 or the Snapdragon 835 which would be available by the time of launch.
As for optics, the phone will come with a 21-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, 4K recording, face detection and flash, while the front camera will be an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device runs on latest Android 7.0 Nougat, however, there is no mention of the battery size and connectivity options.
As with the Zenfone series with the past it is expected to release multiple versions of the Zenfone 4 with different memory, storage and chipset options.
