Asus has been planning to launch a new device in 2017 and the reports have been confirmed after the images of the alleged device leaked on TENAA, a Chinese certification site. The Asus device which is rumored to launch is carrying the model number X00KD on TENAA. The leaks of the device from TENAA and GFXBench give us a look at the aesthetics as well as the internals of the device respectively. On further inspection of what the model number X00KD could mean, we learnt that the Asus Zenfone Go was launched with the similar model number so this could be the successor to the Asus Zenfone Go series but this could also be a entirely new series from Asus as well.
Now, the Asus X00KD has also been leaked on GFXBench which show the specifications of the phone. According to the GFXBench listings, the smartphone will be powered by a 5 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1920 * 1080 resolution. Also the phone could be powered by Mediatek MT6737 Processor and have 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of Internal Storage. The camera on the device would be a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front snapper.
Now, according to the images leaked from TENAA, the device is seen with a dual-rear camera setup while the GFXBench listings don’t confirm the same so we have to be skeptical as to what the device will offer. There is no official word from the company as to when the smartphone will be launched. Stay tuned till then for more details on this device.
