Asus has unveiled a new smartphone dubbed the Pegasus 4S. Asus, like every other smartphone manufacturer has finally brought the tall bezel-less screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is also worth noting that the device comes with a metal unibody build with a dual camera setup at the back, a very familiar smartphone design.
Up front, we have a large 5.7-inch 18:9 display with HD+ resolution(720×1440 pixels). The display is curved along the edges with 2.5D glass for protection.
The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T SoC which is an octa-core chipset clocked in at 1.5GHz. This is backed up by 3GB/4GB of RAM backed up by 32GB/64GB of on-board storage. And due to minimal bezels at the front, the fingerprint scanner has been relocated to the back. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
As for optics, the Asus Pegasus 4S features a dual camera setup consisting of a 16MP primary sensor coupled with an 8MP secondary lens. This is backed up by an LED flash unit. On the front, we have an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. A huge 4030mAh cell fuels the smartphone and it features LTE and VoLTE.
The Asus Pegasus 4S will be available in China in Star Black and Gold finishes. There is no word on price and availability in other markets.
