Xiaomi had taken the smartphone world by storm last year by launching the Mi Mix concept smartphone. The handset took the minimal bezel design and brought it to the masses. The smartphone coupled powerful hardware in a utilitarian and sturdy ceramic chassis which also gave it a premium feel. Today, fresh specifications of a Xiaomi MIX surfaced on the popular benchmarking site, Geekbench.
The Xiaomi MIX is shown featuring a chipset with an octa-core CPU clocked @1.9GHz which is likely to be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 coupled with 6GB of RAM.This can be confirmed with the benchmark scores put up by the MIX; scoring 1929 points in the single-core tests and 6431 points in the multi-core tests respectively. On top of this it is shown to be running on Android v.7.1.1, Nougat likely under the company’s proprietary MIUI skin.
Like last year’s announcement of the original Xiaomi Mi Mix, we are expecting the company to announce this year’s Mix handset alongside the flagship Mi Note 3 which was also recently leaked.
