The recently leaked Alcatel Idol 5, which has already been spotted on GFXBench twice will come in two different variants. One of these variants have a “Snapdragon 625 SoC” and 3GB RAM, while the other one will be having a “Mediatek Helio P20” chipset and 2GB of RAM. Both the variants has been spotted on benchmarking sites.
The Snapdragon variant will come equipped with Octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2GHz and 3GB of RAM. The Alcatel Idol 5 will be running Android Nougat out of the box. Other specifications include 5.2-inch 1080p screen, 12MP main camera (4K capable) and 8MP front shooter. Storage-wise, it will have 32GB of expandable default storage.
The Alcatel Idol 5 has now been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States. The Idol 5 device certified by the agency, carries a model number of 6060C and the listing unveils that it is headed to the famous prepaid carrier Cricket Wireless. With the device getting approval from the FCC, it shouldn’t be too long before Cricket introduces the Alcatel Idol 5 for its prepaid customers.
